Heather was very active in the BHS and introduced TREC to the West Midlands and helped form Mercia TREC Club. For many years Heather organised competitions, navigation training and competed in TREC too. She is best remembered for being the life and soul of parties at TREC weekends.

She died suddenly, aged 52, whilst tending to her horse Clueso.

She is fondly remembered and an annual games event is held in Cluesos name.
