Diane Richmond is a small lady with a big heart. Back in 2005 she organised for Rob Jones to come up to Osbaldeston Equestrian Centre in Lancashire and do a talk and demo about TREC.
In 2006 she organised a camp at Cartmel Racecourse in Cumbria, by 2007 this was the first official Bowland TREC Group camp. Until a couple of years ago she was a driving force behind BTG suggesting and helping organise summer competitions, training and every year the summer camp at Cartmel.
She stepped down from her committee roles a couple of years ago but still encourages her young mentee along with the local pony club members to find out about and take part in TREC. Without Diane initiating and encouraging, the sport of TREC would not be so strong and well represented in the North.
