Daniel took up TREC in the early 2000s and was soon riding for the British team, which he continued to do for a good number of years. He was always up for everything, and if you ever saw anyone riding a horse in fancy dress, or in jeans, it would be Daniel!

Daniel died very suddenly at the age of 41 from a brain tumour in October 2018. TREC GB set up a bursary in his name the following year.
