Covid-19 Update 27th November 2020

COVID-19 Guidance 27th November 2020

England:

The Prime Minister has announced that England will come out of the month long Lockdown from Wednesday 2nd December.

An updated system of Local Restriction Tiers has been published that detail what is possible within the three tiers.

Government guidance that organised outdoor sport can continue in all tiers, means that TREC GB events can resume across England as long as tier specific rules, restrictions and previous TREC GB guidance for England, issued on 24th August 2020, are followed. (Please click here to view)

This means that we can continue to run events in the same way as we did before the recent lockdown as long as the travel restrictions specific to each tier are followed.

These are detailed below

Tier 1 Medium Alert

  1. If you live in a tier 1 area, you can travel to a tier 2 area to take part in a TREC GB event as long as the rules for that area are followed. You should avoid travel to an event in a tier 3 area. You can travel through a tier 3 area as part of a longer journey.

Tier 2 High Alert

  1. You can continue to travel to venues to take part in TREC GB events but should aim to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible.

  1. if you live in a tier 2 area and travel to a tier 1 area to take part in an event you must continue to follow the tier 2 rules when you travel to a tier 1 area. You should avoid travel to an event in a tier 3 area. You can travel through a tier 3 area as part of a longer journey.

Tier 3 Very High Alert

  1. You can continue to travel to venues to take part in TREC GB events but should aim to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible.

  1. If you live in a tier 3 area, you should avoid travel to events in other parts of the UK, including other tier 3 areas.

Stay safe, respect the guidance and enjoy TREC competitions again.
